Ramallah: The Head of the Water Authority received the Director of the French Rennes Water Utility, Mr. Michel Demoldet, and the accompanying delegation to discuss mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two countries.

Minister Ghunaim briefed the delegation on the current conditions and challenges of the water sector as a result of Israeli control over Palestinian water sources.

Minister Ghunaim also touched on the Water Authority's plans to develop the water sector and improve water service in the Palestinian communities, as well as work to keep pace with technical and technological developments to meet the environmental and climatic challenges that are reflected in the water situation in Palestine and the world. He explained that the Water Authority, as part of the water sector reform program, aims to establish water services in a highly efficient and effective manner and to ensure the existence of a water facility to provide the service efficiently and effectively.

In this aspect, Mr. Demoldet stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and expertise and working to develop and raise the capabilities of workers to ensure the ability to keep pace with developments in this vital sector.
