Budapest: Eng. Mazen Ghunaim met today with the Hungarian Minister of the Interior, Sándor Pinter, in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador, Dr. Fadi Al-Husseini.
The meeting discussed the importance of bilateral cooperation in the technical fields and the exchange of experiences.
Eng.Ghunaim addressed the importance of intensifying efforts and consolidating work in supporting the Palestinian water sector, particularly in the context of the exceptional circumstances we are experiencing.
The memorandum of understanding previously signed between the parties on cooperation in the field of integrated water management was one aspect of joint work to provide the Palestinian water sector with the necessary expertise, both in the development of planning mechanisms and in strengthening scientific and research aspects to cope with current developments, as well as the training and development of technical personnel, in addition to the importance of strengthening academic cooperation in water-related areas and the role of youth in the water sector.
For his part, Mr. Pinter stressed that the water sector required innovative solutions to meet the challenges faced by various countries, stressing that Hungary had many experiences from which the Palestinian side could benefit.
