Ramallah – Head of Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghuneim, received in his office today the Mayor of Burqin, Mohammed Sabbah, and his accompanying delegation, to view the water situation in the town, which has improved after the Water Authority response to a number of needs, including the allocation of pipes to develop the town's waterline, which contributed to reducing the rate of losses from 55% to 27%, and improving the amounts of water allocated to citizens. The municipality appreciated all the efforts of the Water Authority and its continuous follow-up to develop the water service and deliver it to citizens fairly.
For his part, Eng. Ghuneim stressed the importance of developing the Palestinian water and sanitation sector, and that the Water Authority strives to meet the needs of various communities related to the implementation of networks, rehabilitation of wells, and construction of reservoirs, stations, and others. In this regard, Eng. Ghuneim pointed out that the Water Authority will follow up on the sewage project for its importance to the town, instructing the technical staff to study the project in all of its aspects and make the necessary recommendations.
