Ramallah _Head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghoneim,met at his Office today with the French agency mission, accompanied by the French Development Agency Director, Catherine Bono, to view and evaluate the work in the ongoing water and sanitation projects funded by the French Government.
The meeting review the preparation works and the agreement to be signed between the two parties early next month on the water and energy project in the northern West Bank (Al-Yamoun, Tubas, Maythaloun) , funded by the French Development Agency and the European Union worth 18 million euros, besides review and discuss the progress of work on the ongoing projects such as Hebron water and sewage plant project, the integrated water project for Bethlehem , Al-Yamoun and Maselia project and others, as well as the North Gaza emergency project and the Government's national sanitation program.
The Minister stressed that the Palestinian Government aims to improve water and sanitation services and it seeks through its work with all partners to develop and improve this facility as comprehensive strategic plans.
Ms. Bono appreciated the water authority's efforts in the development of work in the ongoing projects which will be completed this year on schedule for each project.
