Head of Water Authority Eng.Mazen Ghoneim met with Faqqua Council to discuss the problem of the village’s needs for water network, where citizens suffer from lack of access to water only through tanks which are a heavy burden on the citizen.
Minister Ghoneim stressed that the Water Authority is giving Faqqua region a special importance and works on all levels in order to be able to implement the water network project, pointing out that the problem lies in the lack of a water source in the area to find the necessary funding to implement the network.
Minister Ghoneim added that an integrated project funded by USAID, has been monitored previously for Faqqua in two phases, the first phase of pumping station and reservoirs was implemented, and the second phase has not been implemented due to the unavailability of the water source.
During the meeting, Minister Ghoneim pointed out that the water network project will be implemented to resolve the problem of the suffering of citizens on the basis of studies by specialists to examine the technical and financial aspects of the project to support the village of Faqqua and finding appropriate funding.
