Ramallah_Head of the Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghoneim met in his Office today with the Japanese Ambassador to Palestine, Takeshi Okobr, to follow up the results of Ghoneim's visit to Japan last week, the two sides discussed the latest international and logistical preparations for the International Donor Conference.

Eng. Ghoneim welcomed the Japan's interest in pursuing preparations for the participation and support in the International Donors’ Conference, and discussed the prospects for developing cooperation depending on the positive results achieved by Ghoneim's visit to Japan. After a series of meetings with partners and supportive chiefly the meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono.

For his part, Japanese Ambassador appreciated the great effort by Ghoneim during his intensive international visits to various countries in order to save Gaza and stop the environmental catastrophe that may occur.

At the end of the meeting, Eng. Ghoneim expressed his happiness with the Japanese government's response and cooperation in supporting the Palestinian water sector, which was evident during the recent meetings.
