Ramallah - The Head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghunaim, received in his office today the minister for public Works and housing Dr. Muhammad Ziyarah to discuss cooperation in common issues that serve the development of infrastructure, particularly the water and wastewater sector.

Minister Ghunaim stressed the importance of the water sector and the complications it faces as a result of the Israeli obstacles, and the achievements that were achieved on the ground despite the challenges that were reflected on the lives of citizens, noting that the Water Authority worked on developing the strategic plans to cope with the future needs of the various Palestinian communities.

On his part, Dr. Ziyarah stressed the importance of complementary work between the relevant sectors in unifying efforts and achieving public benefit, which the government seeks to develop by strengthening work mechanisms between partner institutions.

The two sides agreed that coordination will be carried out at the technical level between the committees of both parties to discuss common issues and problems on the development of appropriate solutions and mechanisms to be implemented to be activated by the competent authorities and provide a common vision to the Council of Ministers in partnership with the relevant ministries covering all strategic interventions to develop the infrastructure sector, thereby improving the services provided to citizens and strengthening their resilience.
