Ramallah:  Head of Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghuneim, signed with the Arab International Organization for the Reconstruction of Gaza, represented by its lawyer, Mohammed Abu Zaid, a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of projects in Palestine.

The signing comes within the framework of the Water Authority's efforts to improve the water sector by implementing projects that contribute the needs of the water sector and ensure the implementation of the projects which come under the water authority plan to develop the water and sanitation services and focus specifically on marginalized areas suffering from water scarcity and the need to implement many vital and emergency projects in the West Bank, as well as save the disastrous situation suffered by residents of the Gaza Strip.

Eng.Ghunaim affirmed that the water authority always seeks to cooperate with various parties supporting the water and sanitation sector, in order to secure the water service and to implement vital projects responding to emergency situations. Especially, as we in Palestine are suffering from ed quantities of water due to the Israeli control over water resources as well as to mitigate the negative effects of wastewater and improve the environmental situation to prevent pollution for the protection of public health and the exploitation of treated water.
