The Head of the Water Authority met with the director and members of the Joint Water and Sanitation Services Council -Meithalun to discuss water needs and technical and administrative solutions needed to improve the water situation and increase the amount of water supplied to the region.

Eng. Ghunaim discussed technical solutions to ensure the efficient reoperation of the Meithalun well and the need to provide a water pump for the well to provide citizens with water. He stressed that the competent committee will study the current situation and develop the necessary technical observations to improve the status of the wells used temporarily within the specifications and standards specified to ensure the provision of safe water to the area.

Eng. Ghunaim also stressed the importance of the Council's follow-up with the competent authorities on cases related to infringements on water-supplying lines to take judicial action against the aggressors.

For his part, the director of the Council appreciated the efforts of the Water Authority to ensure the supply of water and follow-up in the technical aspects related to the maintenance and rehabilitation of the lines to reduce the rate of loss.
