PWA organized a specialized technical workshop for the Steering Committee for the project “Updating Water Sector Policy and Strategy in Palestine”.

The workshop was attended by the consulting firm and representatives of ministries in the steering committee comprising the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environmental Quality, Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, the Water Sector Regulatory Council, and Water Authority specialists in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

During the workshop, the consulting firm presented an explanation of the work plan, the main topics for the study, and the implementation schedule, as well as the draft introductory report.

Participants also discussed various important aspects and challenges that must be taken into account during the preparation of the study to reach sound planning that achieves the development and sustainability objectives of the water sector and to identify priorities and stages of the study.
