Head of Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghuneim announced that the Water Authority is working on implementing strategic development projects, to support the governorate in facing the challenges and restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation that targets it with illegal settlements. Explaining that the Water Authority has included in its development budget for the year 2020 Water projects for the villages of Deir Ballout and Deir Istia, to alleviate their suffering by improving the water situation, providing water service and ensure its access to citizens.

Eng. Ghuneim also met with the Rafat village council, which was provided with water pipes to expand the internal network and replace the damaged ones. He also reviewed the needs of the village, which focused on the need to rehabilitate the water network and the transmission line to reduce the losses of up to 50%.

In this regard, the head of the Water Authority instructed the technical staff to follow up with the village council to take appropriate measures to develop the water system and reduce the losses.
