Mahatma Gandhi International sanitation Conference opened its work in the Indian capital, New Delhi, headed by President of India Mr. Ram Nath, Indian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. kholmiradov skhrob , and the Drinking water and sanitation minister, Mrs. UMA Bharati, where the head of water authority,  Eng. Ghoneim participated in the work of opening and a number of specialists.

The opening words focused on the Indian experience in the sanitation and   the construction of toilets for all the houses in India and make the state free from open defecation, which is the dream of all citizens and a focus on awareness and information campaigns to target all categories of people in addition to creativity in the design of health units Proper for all citizens.

After the conclusion of the opening, there were several discussion sessions on various topics such as the role of leadership in sanitation, change the behavior of citizens, Sanitation in urban areas, technology.

The water authority participated in a number of sessions through which it was able to review the Palestinian experience in this field and the strategic plans that the water authority has set for the sanitation sector development.
