Ramallah: Head of water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghoneim confirmed that the Water Authority is following up the water situation in the South region particularly in the area of ??Al-Dhahiriya that has suffered in the past from a lack of water. The Authority is currently taking practical steps to improve the water situation in the town through the work of crews to repair the recent faults in some water sources, which will improve the water supply to the people, this came during a meeting with the chairman and members of Al-Dhahiriya municipality in the headquarters of water authority today.

The Minister added that the water authority is taking strict steps related to campaigns lines and water sources to stop the abuse which causes the loss of large quantities of water in the south to 20 thousand cups a day which is enough to fill the water crisis in southern Hebron. Noting in this context that working on a radical solution by converting a section of the water line to overcome a section of infringements which will contribute to reducing the quantities of waste.

Eng.Ghoneim added that the water authority won't devolve effort to provide adequate amounts of water and work on access to justice, they put a priority to implement virtual water pipeline project, which will start next year after monitoring the necessary financial funding.
