Ramallah: The Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) held today the third workshop for members of the Specialized Working Group on the Sanitation Sector in the presence of representatives of the members of the Group from the Water Authority, the World Bank, the European Union, French Development Agency, the German Development Bank, the Dutch Representation, the International Quartet and the United Nations Development Program.

The representative of the Water Authority, Eng. Adel Yassin, Director General of Strategic Planning, gave a presentation on the recommendations of the Cabinet's decision to approve the ministerial committee for wastewater treatment and reuse of treated water, as well as a presentation on the implementation of sewage projects, studies, capacity building programs and activities that will be implemented in 2023.

The working group discussed the challenges facing the sanitation sector and the mechanism for coordinating efforts to upgrade the sanitation sector, where a set of recommendations were proposed to be submitted to the competent authorities, whether from the Palestinian side or by donor countries, to be taken into account in current and future plans.
