Jenin: Head of Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghuneim went to Jenin on a tour aimed to discuss the water issues in the city. During a meeting held at the Jenin Municipality, they discussed the progress of the water and sanitation projects, the solutions through which the Water Authority seeks to develop the water service in the city, as well as the practical steps to successfully proceed with the program to strengthen water service management capacity.

Eng. Ghuneim stressed that the Water Authority is working intensively to provide and increase the quantities of water for the various Palestinian communities to suit the needs of citizens and the continuation of life in various aspects, pointing out that the water problem cannot be solved drastically only after the end of the occupation, which controls all our water resources, and that Water Authority gives Jenin area a priority and recognizes the need of citizens for water, which is the basis for the advancement of all sectors, praising the steadfastness of citizens in facing the challenges imposed by the occupation to restrict them to control the land.

Eng. Ghuneim referred also to the importance of developing work in the water sector and integrating it, as work is done within systematic plans, pointing out to the importance of working hard to implement the project of enhancing water management capabilities, which aims to improve service management from the financial and administrative aspects, as well as, the plan aims to improve the collection process and reduce the high losses that affect the sustainability and quality of water services. He also instructed the specialists in the Water Authority to develop a practical plan ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with its objectives, in addition to studying the needs of the region, especially the implementation of a water tank and sewage line in the city.
