Head of Water Authority, Eng. Ghunaim, went on an inspection visit to the municipality of Ellar, where met the mayor, Badr Khandakji, and heard from him about the region’s needs for projects to improve water and sanitation services, especially establishing a water reservoir and expanding the internal water network to deliver the service to all citizens.

For his part, Eng. Ghunaim stressed that the financial blockade on the Palestinian Government led to the delay in the implementation of many infrastructure projects in the water and wastewater sector, especially the projects funded through the development budget.

Ghunaim also stressed the importance of organizing and activating the institutional role of all facilities operating in the water sector, and this comes in line with the Water Authority's development plan aimed to establish regional water facilities capable of providing service effectively and systematically.
