Ramallah: Head of Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghoneim, stressed on the follow-up of the water situation to areas of Hebron and ensuring the progress of water distribution to all regions and municipalities, in addition, to follow all problems facing these municipalities from the issues of infringements, thefts, and actual needs, this came during a meeting with the heads of the municipalities of Sureif and Sair at the water authority today.

Eng.Ghoneim  explained  the necessity for the  municipalities  to take  more active role to ensure water quota allocated to each fair and appropriate guarantees access to everybody, The municipality has the duty to improve the distribution process and take appropriate measures in this regard, the need to work To reduce waste, and stop abuses and thefts which cause the loss of large quantities of water and deprive the owners by placing deterrent measures and actions to desist abusers in this sector, stressing that the water authority will not tolerate the aggressors  and will take the legal action Which he started working on it a while ago with the competent authorities.

The head of Water Authority discussed the issue of the accumulated debt of councils and municipalities for water sector, stressing the need to close this case through scheduling of debt and meet the obligations incurred, and that the municipality pay monthly bill to ensure no accumulation of current amounts, especially after the recent decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding taking actions against non-complicit.
