Ramallah: Head of Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghoneim met on Wednesday with water and sanitation administrator for the Middle East region in WB, Suhail Jameian accompanied by Adnan Ghosheh, water administrator in Palestine, to discuss the steps and practical mechanisms for implementing programmes and projects in the water sector according to the strategic plan of the water authority, and the reform process aimed at developing the water sector and improve water service.

The meeting discussed the components of the water security project, which is currently being designed to be in line with the national strategy and the water sector reform plan to ensure improvement and sustainability of services.

In this regard, Eng. Ghoneim stressed that the water sector development process and transition work to new levels requires there to be systematic work on the basis of clear standards and create a favourable environment able to develop water provider institutions within a realistic vision and compatible the current situation to ensure the provision of better water service for the citizen.
