Ramallah: Head of Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghoneim met in his office today with Mrs Aleksandra Bokovska, representative of the Republic of Poland in Palestine, and Mrs Basha Urban, development cooperation expert, to discuss future cooperation between the two countries regarding water issues will contribute to the development of the water sector.

Eng.Ghoneim  also briefed Mrs Bokovska the efforts  and actions undertaken by the water authority to discuss with partner countries in order to prepare for the Donors  Conference to support Central station project which will contribute to avoid disaster in the year 2020, noting that several States have Promised to provide financing for larger project reached approximately 400 million dollars of the total cost that reaches more than 600 million dollars, where we managed through our discussion with various parties to provide 400 million dollars and are currently seeking to secure financial amount remaining, these contacts to urge Stakeholders to participate in this important Conference and support the humanitarian project that will save the lives of more than 2 million people, stressing in this regard, we look forward to the Polish Government should have a role in contributing to support this project in various stages of work.

From her side, Bokovska stressed on the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two parties and opening new perspectives contribute to support additional sectors especially that Palestine have priority of the Polish Government, confirmed in the same context on Poland's participation in the donor conference, hoping that the Conference will achieve its objectives in providing financial support is required to see the project become a reality on the ground.
