Ramallah - Minister Mazen Ghoneim, Head of the Water Authority, assured that the campaign carried out by the Water Authority along with  the authorized  parties against  infringements on water resources will continue, and they will prosecute anyone violating peoples' rights, either through illegal water extraction or selling of water at high prices.

Explaining that the inspection for water distribution points in Bethlehem and the closure of many of them, is only the first step to deterring offenders.

Minister Ghoneim said that the water issue should be dealt with responsibly, since we have a ed amount of water because of Israeli control, and so it is important to manage it effectively and ensure the continual of supply for all provinces, especially in summer because of the high demand for water. We seek to help citizens by establishing injunctions managed with a clear mechanism to avoid the exploitation of people.
