Ramallah – Today, Mr. Ziad Al-Fuqaha officially assumed the role of Acting Head of the Water Authority, succeeding Eng. Mazen Ghunaim as per Cabinet Decision No. (12/19/R.W) for the year 2024.

Mr. Al-Fuqaha holds a Master's in Business Administration and has dedicated over 25 years to the Water Authority, where he has held various positions, most recently as the Director General of Development. He has also chaired several technical committees that have significantly contributed to the advancement of the water sector and the enhancement of water service providers' efficiency.

During the official handover, Eng. Ghunaim extended his best wishes to Mr. Al-Fuqaha, acknowledging the challenges faced by the Palestinian people, particularly in water-related services, amidst extensive destruction in various sectors.

For his part, Al-Fuqaha praised Eng. Ghunaim's significant contributions wished him success in his new role as an ambassador for the State of Palestine. Al-Fuqaha emphasized that a solid organizational structure is fundamental to success and reiterated its importance for the future continuity and progress of the organization.
