Ramallah: The head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghunaim met with Ms. Olivia Tecosky, the Director of the Operations Office of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Palestine.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and interventions in response to the challenging conditions in Gaza and other affected areas in the West Bank, where infrastructure has been repeatedly destroyed.

Minister Ghunaim emphasized the urgent need for cooperation to address the difficulties caused by deliberate infrastructure destruction, which has exacerbated the water sector crisis and led to increased hardships for citizens. They also addressed joint programs and priorities that require immediate attention and support.

Ms. Olivia Tecosky confirmed the water situation's severity and the water sector's urgent needs. She expressed her commitment to working with United Nations organizations to develop effective intervention mechanisms to address emergency humanitarian needs.
