During an inspection tour to the towns of Qabalan, Yasid, and Jaba, Eng.Ghunaim: “The establishment of an integrated water system will ensure fair distribution."

Head of Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghunaim confirmed that the water authority seeks to improve water supply services to citizens in various Palestinian communities , Pointing out that work is underway on the implementation of a huge water projects in addition to the projects that have been completed ,in accordance with the development plan of the Water Authority, to improve the water situation and ensure fair distribution, where Water Authority works to establish an integrated water system that contributes to the distribution of water to ensure access to all communities.

Eng. Ghunaim added that the water authority is working to provide water despite all the obstacles, it also works on the development of the sanitation sector through the strategic plan of the Water Authority, which includes construction of treatment plants to reduce environmental and health damage and benefit from water treatment , this  came during an inspection tour of Eng. Ghunaim and the delegation accompanying him to the towns of Qablan, Yassid, and Jaba ,to examine the needs of the towns and to monitor their water situation closely.

The tour started in the town of Qabalan in Nablus governorate, where  Water Authority is working on rehabilitating the water system of the town within the framework of the emergency water and sanitation program within the second phase, funded through the German Development Bank with a financial value of 1.7 million euros, aims to improve the quantity and quality of drinking water supply service ,where this project will benefit directly and indirectly about 11 thousand citizens .During the first phase, the town of Qablan was connected to the water system of Aqraba by constructing a water line to provide the town with additional quantities of water In addition to the installation of 500 pre-paid counter to the municipality within the same program. In the second phase will be the construction of a ground tank with a capacity of 300 m3, the expansion of internal water networks and water lines with a total length of about 25 km, as well as the establishment of a pumping station for water.

The head of the Water Authority went to Yassid and Jaba to acquaintance their needs and instructed the specialists to study the necessary needs and develop solutions that could be implemented in order to improve the water service to reach all citizens.
