Ramallah:  Head of Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghoneim met in his office today with the French mission headed by Mrs Katerina Bond, to discuss the progress in development projects funded by the French Agency, which included discussion of wastewater treatment project of Hebron and  the ongoing developments , Bethlehem treatment plant project, the project of connect water  with energy in the north of West Bank, in addition to, developments in the treated water treatment plant project for northern Gaza.

The meeting also discussed the issue of financing the establishment of the necessary infrastructure for the points of supply of additional water in the region of Jalameh and Aboud, where necessary funding was provided by the French Agency and the European Union.

Minister Ghoneim explained that the work on the ongoing projects  implemented in accordance with the plans and the timetable ,and prepared in conjunction with the work on the implementation of new steps in the reform program, especially with regard to the interests of the territorial waters and the water distribution system, appreciated the role of the French Government in supporting the development projects of the water sector, where several projects have been completed, the last of which was the completion of four projects to be opened during the coming period which are: Misilya, Yamun, Tubas and the treatment plant North Gaza.
