Signing a cooperation agreement between the Water Authority and “Jawwal”

Ramallah: A Cooperation agreement on support of the World Water Forum was signed today between the water authority and the Palestine Telecommunications Company' JAWWAL ', at headquarter of the water authority. Where the agreement was signed by Eng. Mazen Ghoneim from Water Authority and CEO Mr. Ammar Aker from the Palestinian Telecommunications Company' JAWWAL.

The head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghoneim, expressed his pleasure to join the communications group into a vital and important sector, which is the water sector through cooperation in supporting the Palestine International Water Forum, stressing that cooperation within the specialty work always exists and today culminates in cooperation within the framework of which will be outside of the new image in particular that in this forum we seek out of the ordinary. We are today looking for new categories and other sectors in order to convey the suffering of Palestinian water sector and to mobilize more actors to support this humanitarian issue.

Minister Ghonaim added that we have conveyed to the world the water tragedy in Palestine and today through this forum we want to show another aspect, by putting Palestine on the international map, we got what we add our partners through their participation in finding solutions to problems that are worrying worldwide such as population growth, climate change, and water scarcity.

For his part, AL-Aker appreciated the efforts of Palestinian water authority, headed by Eng. Mazen Ghoneim for his continuous efforts to work for the development of the water sector in Palestine and provide clean water to the public. Adding that “We are honored to be partners in sponsoring the first Palestine International Water Forum, which is being held under the auspices of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas”.

 Adding that the launch of the conference for the first time in Palestine will serve as a platform for all decision-makers and influential experts on water issues internationally, and will see the presence of political and economic figures and representatives of civil organizations, donor countries, international institutions and many international experts specialized in water issues.

He concluded by pointing out that the Palestinian Communications Group is interested through social responsibility programmes to support all developmental and vital projects, which benefit the Palestinian citizen and promote cooperation between the government sector and the private sector for its impact on supporting and strengthening the Palestinian economy.
