Ramallah - Eng. Mazen Ghnoneim- head of the Water Authority,  signed today the agreement of developing and rehabilitation of  Deir El Balah Station with Mr. Andria Nasi -the Director of the Austrian Development Agency. This project will increase the capacity of the plant to produce higher quantities of desalinated water  of the first production line to reach 600 cubic meters /day And will help rehabilitate the infrastructure of the second production line, to produces up to 2000 cubic meters / day, which makes the total production of the plant 2600 cubic meters / day.

The project includes the development and rehabilitation of some mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as the rehabilitation of the plant's External construction. And also developing the desalination plant laboratory through providing some necessary laboratory equipment for measuring and inspecting water.

It is worth mentioning that this station will provide about 30 thousand person living in  Deir al-Balah area with desalinated water, the estimated cost of the project is about 268000 euros.
